Step 2: Learn How You Will Be Informed Of an EmergencyYou may be informed of an emergency through the media (television or radio broadcast) or directly by emergency responders, such as the police who come to your home or business. Some areas are equipped with public alerting systems such as automated phone calling or in-home tone-alert radios. To learn more about notification procedures in the community in which you work, please contact the local Community Emergency Management Coordinator (CEMC).
