EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT WORKSHOP
This course will provide you with an overview of the essential level program in Ontario. You will learn about the five components of Emergency Management. You will understand the role of the Community Emergency Management Coordinator (CEMC) and Community Control Group. You will have a better understanding of the roles and responsibilities of various levels of government during a declared emergency. This course will provide you with the knowledge to discuss personal preparedness with your staff and begin developing staffing plans for declared emergencies. During the workshop, you will have the opportunity to engage in interactive discussions with peers and emergency management staff at the local and provincial levels as part of the learning and networking process. The Senior and Elected Officials workshop is generally hosted at the municipal level in cooperation with Emergency Management Ontario.
